Community Road Safety and Anti-Social Behaviour Surveys

Dear Residents,

Over a two-hour period this evening between 5pm and 7pm, a series of community-led surveys identified significant levels of anti-social behaviour and road safety concerns in and around Earl's Court Road, Trebovir Road and Kenway Road.

The surveys recorded:

27 cyclists riding on the footpath, creating potential risks for pedestrians.

177 vehicles cutting the corner from Earl's Court Road into Trebovir Road, causing congestion, increasing the risk of collisions and creating hazardous conditions for both road users and pedestrians.

44 cyclists and mopeds travelling the wrong way along Earl's Court Road, contrary to traffic regulations.

56 cyclists and mopeds travelling the wrong way after exiting Kenway Road onto Earl's Court Road.

The designated moped parking bay on Trebovir Road exceeded its capacity on two occasions, with up to 12 mopeds parked despite a capacity of 10 spaces.

Collectively, these surveys identified over 300 incidents involving anti-social behaviour, traffic offences and road safety concerns within a two-hour period.

The findings highlight ongoing issues affecting residents, pedestrians and road users in the area. These concerns will be discussed with RBKC to explore potential enforcement, traffic management and road safety measures aimed at improving road user behaviour and reducing risk.
